Course: Introduction to Architecture Studio I
UC Berkeley - College of Environmental Design | Berkeley, 2018
Two-week exploration into the relationship of part to whole and interpretations of assembly and enclosure, through the development of a system as a skin and a system of bones.
Skin: Investigating ways of manipulating and fabricating a surface to develop a skin for channeling water.
Bones: A module was designed with an interest in how a simple module could, when multiplied and joined, begin to create curves. Further play established different clusters that necessitated bespoke 3D-printed components to join together. 3D-printing was also used to develop a way for this system to meet the ground.
